MYCOMPUTER takes long time to get opened and may show not responding after some times, and if it is opened then also , if i try to open other folders inside a drive, then also some times it will not be opened and may show not responding.
Am using w7.

Your computer is probably full of malware. Reinstall windows is often the best solution.

Thoughts:
- other programs stealing too much time from your program?
- you might have too many files in that directory?
- it might need to be defragmented?
- hard drive problems?
- virus?
- do you have more than one antivirus program installed? if yes, that will kill the performance.

there could be numerous reasons.

1>only one antivirus
2>not much programmes installed
what may be the problem?
i already cleared registers and temp files using AML free register cleaner...But still the problem is there...
what should i do?

what antivirus are you using.

I see, is it newversion or the previous one.

What is yours PC RAM capacity.

I think your pc need some higher capacity RAM a/c to size of your windows & not only this if you are downloading upgrades it will make the system more slow. You can check the website here below for minimum requirement RAM fr win7 based PC:
RAM, Virtual Memory, Pagefile and all that stuff

Keep windows clean will make a much better computer but just upgrade ram. Just a ram upgrade wont help that much if the OS is messed up.

#1 - Unhook from internet / network / wireless, then disable and unhook both, then restart windows, then is it still slow?
Open "dos box" by running "cmd".
type "ipconfig /flushdns" to flush the DNS cache in case it is corrupt or hacked.

#2 - Run antivirus scan of your entire hard drive.

#3 - Install microsoft updates.
restart windows

#4 - Uninstall recent software that you previously haven't used.
Uninstall all old software that you haven't used, nor unlikely to use.
Uninstall all browser add-ons and plugins.
Uninstall all unknown media players, especially non-microsoft. arg, most are crap that get installed along with something else. Later, after fix the problem, install K-Lite codecs and possibly VLC.
restart windows

#5 - Install CCleaner and configure to run every time at startup.
Piriform - Download CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva, Speccy - Millions of users worldwide!

#6 - Open "dos box" by running "cmd".
type "chkdsk c: /f" and answer Y for Yes.
type "exit"
restart windows
Install free MyDefrag and run it.
MyDefrag v4.3.1

#7 - Uninstall all ADOBE FLASH PLAYER, ADOBE PDF READER, and SUN JAVA, then installed the latest for security reasons.

Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions
**broken link removed**

#8 - Update video codes and install media player:

VLC (VideoLAN) for Windows Free Download and Reviews - Fileforum

#9 - Not sure what you are using for antivirus and software firewall, but I like the free version of Comodo. See software firewall tests on 2nd link...comodo has ranked in top several for years.

#10 - that is enough for now.

How to do ""#1 - Unhook from internet / network / wireless, then disable and unhook both, then restart windows, then is it still slow?

Hi,
1. check your hard drive first.any clicking noise coming or not? (some new hdd making partition table spoil very easy)
2. run ms config- startup- disable unwanted program in starting time only.
3. run your antivirus update after that scan full your system.
4. memory is not enough.better top-up more 1 GB.
try these procedure.............if not means....
5. finally reinstall your OS again .and suddenly install antivirus first. then load other softwares.
BEST OF LUCK
