I am using pic to pic communication over DC power lines. Both pics are 18f4431's. The tx pin on my sender pic keeps on blowing. What could the reasons be? Could it be, that i am trying to draw too much current from my pic? Maybe i should insert a driver or an optocoupler. The tx pin stops working as soon as i switch on a load. Is it possible-and how- to change the tx output to be moved to the rx pin since im not using rx and my tx is not working? It is not a short that is blowing my tx pin (100% sure)

The post make me to assume that you have directly connected tx pin to the powerline. You need isolation.
