Compound on Generator AVR's

Hi Friends,
Please can anyone tell me what is this Black color compound on generator AVR circuit and its purpose?. is there any method to remove it?

It's generic name is "potting compound", designed to mechanically stabilize and also damp proof the circuit board.
It can be removed but it's difficult, if you Google for "Electrical potting compound" and find a manufacturer they may be able to advise on a suitable solvent. You should be aware that a solvent that removes the resin is likely to damage some of the components as well.

the circuit board components are potted in compound
to prevent generator vibration from displacing electronic parts
If it is soft you can slowly remove it with a screwdriver little by little
but if it is hard then nothing can be done.
