Hi, whay my PIC18F458 different with your in my proteus? I using Proteus 7.
Now i doing my assingment for this PIC18F458. Can you help me to draw the schematic using PROTEUS with the basic component required to run a PIC18F458. Thanks.

In proteus for simulation we don't require any other component. We only require the PIC/8051 you want to use & the hex code to be burned to the controller. Outputs can be verified on the ports of the controller unless you want only to test the working of your code.
Regards,
Jerin. :)

This is my assigment question. May you help me?

Group Project (Proteus):
Please form a group of FOUR (4) students. Draw the schematic using PROTEUS with the basic component required to run a PIC18F458 (this includes resistor, capacitor, Vdd, etc). Submit the schematic ONLY and justify why each of the basic components are required/its function to run the PIC (please do not write an essay, just give short and brief answers). Attach a cover page and include the names of your group members.

we have the same assignment.
do you have the schematic?

The basic components required to make a PIC operate are Vcc,GND,crystal oscillators & bypass capacitors. You know that Vcc & GND are the major necessities of a device to operate. Crystal oscillators are provided to get cyclic clocks to the PIC.The capacitors are provided in order to eliminate noise i.e AC signals from the circuit.
Regards,
Jerin. :)

Also ground the pin MCLR so as to get the RESET functionality.
