Is there such a thing? I have searched the Cadence site and found nothing. I would like to learn more about Spectre but the only thing I have found is very pricey $4200 training course offered by Cadence.

So I have to open a university? HA

As I know, there is NOT any especial Spectre student version.
However Cadence has differed almost all software at three different levels.
If you are begginer, that you are welcomed to use the simplest level (L)...

Mostlikely, the main policy of Cadence is to provide software to Universities at lowest cost (normally free with some support cost only).

Cadence provides free pspice and orcad software, but that is not the usual design workflow software of an IC company. I was hoping for more, hmmm.
