Hi all,

I am planning to build a small panel for my utility electric power, which is
powered by country grid / my power generator.

I wish to use three digital meters in that panel

1) digital frequency meter to display 50Hz ( capable of displaying 40 to 60
Hz) three digits xx.x would be fine.

2) digital volt meter to display 220v ( capable of displaying 100v to 300v
) four digits would be fine xxx.x

3) digital ammeter/wattmeter ( to show the load on 3kva generator )

there are plenty of devices available from commercial manufacturers
There are hobby circuits available but they usually use microcontrollers,

I need to build on my own.

at the moment I need super simple circuits with easily available common
compnents.

I specially need to construct frequency meter first of all since I have got in
hand analog voltmeter and ammeter purchased from a commercial manufacturer. But
I will compare the digital version and might replace them or use them in
addition to digital meters.

any help is appreciated

for all panel meter requirement , i recommend 7106/7107 based ones.
both original and clones are available in ready made pcb form.

get a basic panel meter pcb , cahnge the inputs to suit your requirement and you will get a less cost working version of meters.

going for microcontroller based one is not recommended for panelmeters as you have to program and ....

Thanks

if you can provide some more details on 7106/7107 based circuits. for my purpose, it would be more helpfull.

Thanks, device looks the thing I need, I would check the availability in market

But it would be more fun, to make it from discrete digital components.
