Clock frequency rate in ModelSIM

Hello All,

I am confused about the operation of clock in ModelSIM.
I am unable to understand the rate at which clk frequency is.

I know I can control the frequency of the clk, by altering the period of it.

But when I carefully examine the signal it still have a very high frequency - i.e. 10 Ghz.

please help.
 

Clock in ModelSIM

take care of the unit, if you start with default in ps !?
force -freeze sim:/clk 1 0, 0 {50 ps} -r 100 ps
