How to 9VAC secondary in a transformer (now I have 17VAC)

have a transformer: primary and secondary 220VAC 17VAC
But I need 9VAC secondary (outlet)
So how

Help me please
 

Transformer Problem

Hi,
reduce the windings Nr on the secondary side-if you can, but you must measure the sec-voltage under your real load conditions pls!
Otherwise you must take/select a new one :-(...

Transformer Problem

What difficult is; isnt inpossible! :)

Added after 2 minutes:

You see, if you are hungry;: you wish to eat some thing an does not go sleep and so on
I mean, if you need lower sec-voltage, you van change the windings on your trafo or the trafo self_thats life...

Hi friend

To ruduce the outlet voltage , you can use 2 resistors.
Apply the outer voltage to the " 9+8=17 " resistor , and therefore you'll be able to get an output of 9 volts from the " 9 " resistor.

In my opinion is more intelligent to have a sec voltage what the load needs...

Do you mean that we cannot apply high current to this resistors !?
Well , I think we can use high-power resistors , can't we !?

Hi,
Its so; elmahboule didnt tell us how much power he needs, but thes is a transformer, so a thing is usually with some watts loaded, also the resistors are for that to dimensioned & packaged :)...
I think you can agree with me.

instead of 220vac on the primary , try 110v

would give you 8.5vac
