Hi,

I have a layout ready in Cadence. I want to export this to Mentor graphics.
The reason being that we do not have the I/O pads for AMI06 kit in cadence. But we have them in Mentor graphics.

After googling a bit, i found that i could export a gds II file from this layout and then import it into Mentor graphics. Correct me if i am wrong. I got steps for exporting the gds II file in Cadence. Can anybody tell me how do i import it in mentor graphics?

Thanks,
Sambhav

1. dump the gds from cadence source
2. calibredrv (mentor tool) will be able read gds
CMD --> calibredrv -m cell.gds

As you want to insert PADS in mentor. Use ICStation (Mentor's layout editor) to read .GDSII directly. You also require the technology file in Mentor format.
