hi,
i hav been dealin with relays few days back.i got curious to know how a dc input in an relay can hav magnetic induction on inductor.
for dc i had known inductor behaves as a short circuit.i fear how it could induce magnetic flux in an inductor???can anyone xplain this to me??

thank u

Hi, relay coil is not a short circute rather completing a circute due to the coil resistance which generate a magnetic flux when ever their is a flow of current through the coil,*faradays law of electromagnetic induction*remember, this pulls the armature contact arm to touch another terminal known as bottom contact.
