    Help please .. interfacing pic18f2550 with pc using usb

    hello,
    can any one help me learn how to interface a pic18f2550 or pic18f4550 with pc using usb from A to Z because i am new to this and i really love to learn this.
    I want to send data from pc to pic and display it on portD thats it and i want codes and pics pleeeeease.
    please help me.

    An easy way to achive USB communication with PIC and PC is to emulate RS232 over USB. See this aapnote:

    Well nothing like starting off with a good simple project then

    Suggest you first look around here to see all the options available from Microchip.

    You can find all the USB framework software as part of the big Applications software download at the very bottom of this page.

    While the 4550 hardware is simple enough to build, you might want to consider one of the many usb training board packages from Microchip which are effectively complete running projects.

    There are a few other diy usb sites on the web as well as some other demo boards, but think you will be better sticking to Microchip.

    Thanks alot but I have found alot of materials to read and i want to learn the basics and i have alot of time to read, so if you can show me where to start exactly i would be greatful and if u can give me a code to do the interface between the pic and the pc i would be extremlly greatful.

    i have same question for USB interfacing

    now, i am using Mikroelektronika MicroC editor for Programming PIC18f4550

    and i am very impress that this editor has ready made library for USB(HID) interfacing with example code and circuit also

    please try it

    i have used MicroC_8.0.0.0 editor version
