Hello All,

I have a basic question, Is there any reason why even or odd numbers of fingers would be preferred? I would think the symmetry of even would be better? But I am just guessing.......

Any info?

For a single transistor it doesn't matter if you use an even or odd number of fingers, because you can always create a good symmetry if you use "outside" source connections: SDSDS or SDSDSDS. This is true also for matching pairs.
Good common centroid layout of course is easier with an even no. of fingers.

Moreover we can get less cap on drain node with even fingers and ussing soure at both the ends..

Thanks guys, That the info I wanted to hear less cap at the drain perfect!
