This universal programmer supports more than 22000 devices to meet the various needs for device programming and IC testing. It features high programming speed, test vector capability, multi-array fuse map editor, device insertion and poor-pin-contact check. The programmer is capable of handling several different devices such as programmable read-only memory (PROM), programmable logic device (PLD), flash microcontroller or serial and parallel memory.
The compact universal programmer, model VP590, includes a 48-pin ZIF socket and manages 16 and 32-bit word split. The programmer starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion under auto-run mode and is fully compatible with Windows XP/2000/NT/Vista operating systems. It accepts standard file formats such as JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS), INTEL HEX16 and Motorola S record. The programmer supports most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, ORCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. In addition, it easily connects with a laptop or PC through a USB port.
