Can somebody tell me how to measure the inductance and Q of a spiral inductor in ADS?

Thanks.

Re: ADS

Hi

I guess you want to simulate it in ADS?

You can extract the Q and inductance L of a planar spiral inductor with these formulas:

\[Q=-\frac{Im[Y(1,1)]}{Re[Y(1,1)]} \]

\[L=Im[\frac{1}{Y(1,1)}]/\omega\]

I dont know if this was what you were looking for.

Y(1,1) only.. because ur extarcting the unloaded Q of the planaar inductor .. and its a one port simulation....
