this is a bin file form bol.bg. I think it should be file from 24C EEPROM where is stored the program for an USB chip.

OOPS, this is only configuration (VID, PID, etc). USB chip is preprogramed from Cypress or programed from driver via USB

Cool, it's much easier to deal with PDIP instead of TQFP (don't misunderstand i like TQFP because it's small),
but the PCB should be scaled some way...
Does it have a homepage where the PCB can be found in other format?

HI,
On the mcu website you can read something like about "original microchip firmware". So I think you can put the original hex or obj file contains in mplab directory.
In the icd.rar you can find a *.hex file, it's the firmware.

I would try to realize it tomorrow morning. I've make a new PCB using trough hole component with only RS232 support.
When my tests are finish, I'll say the result.

firmware do icd2br

probably:

Information about the firmware I gathered are on one side, that the firmware for the icd2 is included in the "C:\MPLAB5.X\ICD10200.hex" file on the other side, that the firmware consists of several parts located in the MPLAB/ICD2 directory, which are loaded dynamicaly by an bootloader.
The bootloader is just there, in de MPLab/ICD2 directory. Look for a file named BL101010.hex

what hex file did you use in the 877?

I think you should load BL101010.hex with another
programmer first, and than load the firmware to it
with mplab (like when you upgrade it).

would you please share the PCB?

microchip icd2 schematics

Hi,
My board work at 75%. MPLAB recognize the pic target, read the pic, but i'can't program it. I've a voltage problem.
The firmware, which you can find on mcu.cz on the name org_icd.hex works good. The scheme seems good too. On my first version the voltages are goods but MPLAB doesn't recognize the target.

finaly I just want to ask all members in this topic if someone is made (build) full (USB) version of ICD2. Is USB interface works fine. I still have doubdt if USB chip can be programed via USB when connect to MPLAB.

usb icd2 schematic

hi
I'm really interested in building a USB ICD2. Curently I'm designing the PCB. I'm using as much SMD parts as possible on a twosided PCB.

has anyone soldered a cypress on his ICD2 board? I read a lot about firmware downloaded just in time, other people says that the cypress code has to be in the serial EEPROM. what is true? has anyone read out the 24LC01. I don't own a ICD2.

someone made some experiences with CY7C64613?
