Dear all friends, I want to talk with you about the active antenna.
It is said that the active antenna could improve the sensitivity of GPS receiver or FM receiver. Could someone tell me why?

I remember that I have read one post about the active antenna on www.edaboard.com. The friend said that because active antenna could increase the current, so it could increase the power. And he have experienced one sucessful active antenna design and it do could help to inrease the communication range.

Could someone give me some links or paper about the active antenna design?
Or could someone tell me how to design the active antenna?

TKS a lot.
