LOCKING PROBLEM IN CADENCE

cadence check lock

hi,
When i am making new design and storing it in my libray,after to use again -its showing my designs can only be red,it cnt be modified...How i can modify my earlier deigns and why its getting locked??....pl.. reply soon .
 

Look for any lock files in your design directory. You should find it in the file system: library/path/<cell name>/schematic

Files ending with .lck are lock files. They can be left overs from a unclean shutdown of the design tools.
 

ya,i am getting those files,but how to unlock it?...
 

Here what I used to do.
1) Type clsAdminTool at shell prompt, and you will get a > prompt
2) Type are /<you_path>/folder_name (folder name is from the directory you running the cadence). This will erase the locks.

In order to check which files have edit locks, simply type ale /<you_path>/folder_name

Here you go!!!
