piccolo control stick

I bought my piccolo control stick last week

I installed the CCS and controlstick software as it is described in the document

my windowsXP SP3 recognized the controlstick automatically and didnot ask for anything

now i start setup ccs, I selected F28027 xds100 USB emulator and save & quit

After that I started CCS and selected connect under debug menu
in the headline of ccs : /F28027 XDS100 USB Emulator/TMS320C2800_0 - TMS320C28xx

the sandclock appeared and didnot disappear for minutes
It says it is connecting but nothing happens
also I cannot close CCS - it is not responding
also the device manager reports that the emulator cannot be started ( code 10 )
what can i do ?
