Microstrip filter and microstrip antenna question

micro strip antennas filter design

Hi, as well known we can simulate microstrip filters and micristrip antennas with several EM simulators. If I simulate a DGS low-pass filter, which parameter show me that the filter does not radiate as a microstrip antenna? I want to be sure that the design performs as a filter instead of an antenna. Any idea?? ..... thanks
