I think RTlinux is the best choice, 'cause it's free, easy to learn and programming using system call from linux native. For STB, may be using MiniRTlinux, but I don't know more.

Neutrino QNX, Win CE may be just embedded OS, not realtime in somewhere. And must purchase for license.

What hardware platform are you using?
 

I heard someone said that the Vxworks takes much less space of permanent memory compared to linux.

Hi, guy

My frist time here :

I have a Soruce code STB 02500 Power PC , Is in ROTS Vxworks and is vry fast but after adding few update on the code , my video is frezeing time to time, ..

I will like to get someone to help me,..
