Counter

Hi!

Does anyone know how build a counter with JK bistabil's with module 5 (this mean it will count 1,2,3,4,5 than start again 1,2,3,4,5) I have seen a decade counter but cant find nothing so it can count up to 5

Counter

Hi
if your counter have reset and preset ,it is easy for you. add a logic in output to detect 6 .so apply this to make reset.define 1, in preset input to load 1 in reset signal.

Re: Counter

sry but I dont understand it well can you make it in Electronics Workbanch ?

Re: Counter

He is saying to preset the counter to 5, count down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 reset to 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. ...

There are chips out there that do this. I recently did a counter with a MC100EP016A. Read that data sheet and you will see how it is done. There are other lower frequency chips out there too.
