battery charger for NimH battery- false termination problem

NIMh BATTERY CAHRGER

Hi,
I am designing a battery charger for NimH battery,
i see one problem of false termination,
when batteries are kept under charging, for initial few mimutes i see that charger is terminating fast charging, this behavious is random and not consistant,
termination happens some times after 2 minutes and in some case it is after 10 minutes, but in actual it has to charger for contineous 8 hours.

can any one give some idea abt why this behavious is happening and any remedy


Charge control IC are MC33340/42..
