thyristor mig

Hi i got an welder from a friend because missing controlunit, i will build a new one questions is :
Welder give max 500A 39VDC
1. I need to have driver for thyristors " big one's" it is disc thyristors but i don't know the data

2. I think the original is using phase control

3. For MIG welding the important is to follow the voltage so i need to control the thyristors depending of the voltage

Any good ideas for make a first prototype of controlunit

Schematic of welder

What is missing is 70.2, and 70.1
