Impedence of trace

Hi all ,

I need help regaring to the trace width of a 50 ohm trace.
Board width is 1.2mm. Its 4 layer card with 2 power plane in inner layer.

Resistivity of copper foil = 1.750000
Permitivity of Prepreg 2125 = 4.500000
Permitivity of Fr4 = 4.500000

Kindly suggest me the trace width for 50 ohm trace . if possible please provide the calculator for it .

Thanks in advance

Re: Impedence of trace

4 layer board?

What layer is the ground plane? Are we talking about a microstrip trace, or something more exotic like coplanar waveguide (two strips on the surface, like a differential line)?

By power planes, do you mean big sheets of metal that are between your top layer trace and the bottom layer ground plane? If so, then you have what we call a "kluge", ie no specific impedance. Your high speed signals will look "interesting".
