you have 10ohms and 40ohms in series, so 50ohms total

Voltage = current x resistance
but you want to know current, so;
current = voltage / resistance

10v/50= 0.2A
 

yap,total current is .2ampere because,both resistors are connected in series so the current flowing on the said resistors is the same.
