Delay problem

We know that by inserting repeaters we can reduce the delay in the interconnect lines. We have treated interconnects as transmission lines and used transmission line models in ADS and we have inserted repeaters between transmission lines. Our design gives more delay with repeaters. If we check the signal delay through transmission line, zero delay is observed. How to correct this?
Thanks in advance
