test of igbts

I have a GE inverter that burned the control board, bridge rectifier and some fuses. I think the problem could be a bad IGBT or an overvoltage or even an overcurrent but for the two last options the drive must have protection circuits so how can I test the power IGBTs using a Fluke 87 digital multimeter?

igbt test multimeter

You can test the IGBT by multimeter at the Diode test position.

Emetor Collektor must be open circuit at the two direction (If you see reverse diod this is not problem).

Gate Emetor must be open circuit.

If you see any short circuit at the any two pin IGBT is mort.

But this is not good test...

So witch one is a good way to test an IGBT?
Do you know a dinanic way to test then?
Of course with low voltge low current, let´s say with a lamp and a PWM driver just dimming lamp's bright or so.

Regards,

Fernando
