coupling coefficient software

Hi,

I would like to design hairpin filters, the text book says i have to simulate the Q and coupling coeff-K using 3D simulation software. Can anyone tell me where i have to put the input and output port for simulation. Also for any arbitrary structures where to put the ports..

Regards,
S.P

From the pictures, it is determined by the parameter 't',
there is relation with this 't' to input /output impedance.
If you do the EM simulation you will find the relation.

Re: Coupling coefficient simulation using 3d simulation soft

Hi,

That is true, but my question is where to put the ports in my EM simulation for finding the coupling coefficient

Hi:
A paper called "S Parameters Six-point Method of Calculating the Coupling Coefficient Between Resonators" may help you.
