how to check models given by a foundry is correct or not ?

hi
everybody

i heard the models given by a foundry is the most important staff in the design of a chip. and i have some models found in the internet. but i don't know whether or not my models is suitable for my design , for example, a switched capacitor circuits? so who can tell me the method of testing the models ?

I think the models given by a foundry is related to their process. A good model should reflect the devices electrical characteristics precisely. You can use the model to determine whether final tape out results meet your requirement. Maybe most important thing is the mismatch between the model they provided and the device's characteristics.
 

Foundry will provide measurements vs. model simulation results. Check the documentations.

i hanve known the relationship between the models and the data provided from the foundry. and i have read some pcm data.

what i really mean is how to make sure the models given from a foundry is correct ? if i can't make sure it and just taped out my boss must let me go to the hell :)

so what do i have to do before taping out the gdsii file to make sure the model is correct . for instance, i'm doing a ad converter. and i get a pdk from the foundry. after then ,what should i do?
