lux w/m2

Hi,

is there any formulas or equations to convert measured illuminance in Luxs to irradiance in W/m2

or

convert measured luminance in Cd/m2 to irradiance in W/m2

1 lx = 1 lm/m^2, what 1 lumen is depends upon the kind of light, e.g. for white light 1 lm = 5mW, for green light 1 lm = 1/683 W.

Keith, this converter gives results corresponding to maximum sensitivity of the eye (green light) WITHOUT MENTIONING IT.

There are other online converters - I cannot remember which ones I have used in the past. I usually end up looking up the values based on wavelength of interest.

Keith.
