openrisc cpld

Good morning...

Please bare in mind that I'm new to FPGA stuff (o;

Someone tried to synthesize the OpenRISC CPU into a Xilinx device? Especially Spartan 3 with 400k gates?

Memec has a development board for it and an additional communication module together for under 400$ which gives you a 400k gates FPGA, SRAM, flash, 10/100 PHY, PS/2 and serial.

So would be a good platform for starting off with fitting a OpenRISC to it.

I think you can use it as a platform because the board can support Micorblaze from Xilinx
Best regard!
