I'm trying to learn how a color sensor (hardware) can be used to calibrate the color of the monitor. Could anyone please provide me with some study materials for this. Thanks in advance!

I guess I owe you a detailed explanation of what I'm looking for. I'll use a colorimetric sensor that will measure the x, y & Y data of a portion of the LCD. This data will then be fed to a DSP board that will compare the data with a prescribed set of data, calibrate and then send the standard RGB data to the LCD. This system will be used to calibrate the LCD so that its color reproduction quality doesn't fade with time.
