PMSM - Lm = 1.5Ls ?

I'm refering to 3ph (non-salient) permanent magnet synchronous machines. I read an article quoting that:

Lm = 1.5 L ---- (1)

where Lm is magnetising inductance and L is self inductance.

Do you have any idea how to derive eq(1)?

By the way, in the article it states that the synchronous inductance Ls:

Ls = Lm + Lls ---- (2)

where Lls is leakage inductance.

Can I say that self-inductance (L) is in fact the synchronous inductance (Ls) of the machine?

Thanks.
