    IR wireless headphone safety

    Dear ALL

    now i understand how the IR wireless headphone works but i have a small ques. now IR must have a line of sight so you will be looking to the IR transmitter so the IR enter your eye?? so is it that danger ??

    IR wireless headphone safety

    No its not a danger. The IR light energy is not focused. It is spread across a wide area. It the same as a TV remote, there is no danger pointing a TV remote at someone. Now, if you too a laser and modulated it to produce a wireless headphone, that would be a different story.

    IR wireless headphone safety

    In life, there are no absolutes. Nothing, even water, is 100% safe all the time. You can read the following:

    This document describes the safe IR level for eyes. The system they were using was large scale IR LEDs for illumination. This is a much higher output than the small level used to modulate information.
