phase response of op amp in PFC controller

Hello,

This concerns LT1509 PFC controller

on page 8 , figure 3 of the LT1509 datasheet, it gives the open loop phase response of the voltage error amplifier.

however the phase is positive.

How can this be, positive phase corresponds to future time, and going round the loop would give a time delay, so the phase should surely be negative ?

You didn´t read the figure carefully: The plot shows the PHASE MARGIN (not the phase) !

i should look harder,

i still have an issue with the phase response of this op amp so i made a new post
