Hi All,

I have a circuit that uses a 74HC245 as buffer. I only use A bus to B bus direction and only use 4 inputs Device is allways enabled.

Can I leave the other inputs floating. Or should I ground them?

TIA

With CMOS logic, e. g. HC, you may connect unused pins either to GND or VCC, but they should not float. Otherwise you must expect exessive current consumption and wildly switching outputs at worst case.
