scatter file

Hi all,

I'm trying to write a linker file for an ARM7 processor. i.e i want to generate elf/hex file , for it to be used by the ARM processor in SOC. what is the process to write a linker file (*.ld file). I have some prewritten linker file but when i'm using this file for my ARM its giving prefetch abort exception always.
1. Can any one give the process for writing a linker file??(send any material if u hve)
2. Can anyone tell the process of initilization in ARM i.e what happens when power on happens (initialisation sequence)??(send any material if u hve)
Thanks in Advance
