pls which is the most straight forward and easy simulation tool i can use to calculate coverage measures for different deployment algorithm patterns on a simulated field of fixed area.

One where i can also position nodes incrementally and calculate the coverage area obtained in each deployment type.
 

There are many similators for wireless sensor networks, Here are examples:
tomosim, qualnet, NS2, Glomisim, ...
 

do u have access to an algorithm test using prowler?
