visio example asm chart

I am looking for a special software or tool to convert ASM charts in visio into text files so that you can remove the extra or repeated steps and come up with a summerized state machine control unit.

This tools is required when desining a control unit for a 16-bit risc microprocessor for example, or let me know if you have a different idea.

I am also looking for projects where i can practice my experience in FPGA design.
