lcd backlight voltage

I have a question about TFT LCD backlight voltage.

I have an inverter. Its kick-off voltage and working voltage is higher than the typical value of LCD.
Can i use it?

Generally i think that higher kick-off voltage is acceptable. I do not know if higher working voltage is acceptable.

Thanks in advance.

could you use a capacitor to absorb some of the kick-off voltage? what about a resistor to bleed off some of the working voltage?

Usually the voltage for the baclight is around 2000 Vac at high frequency.
So don't touch the wires unless you want an electrizing experience.
