filter settling time

Hello,

normally the settling time of bandpass filters is
tsettle=2/bandwidth

for lowpass filters it is
tsettle=1/bandwidth

If we have filters with 500MHz bandwidth, but very steep transitions.
E.g. 40MHz below and above the passband, the filter rejects with 60dBc.
Do we need to add something to the settling time, due to the steep transitions ?

Thanks.
