make a keyboard with avr

Hi every body
I want to make a keyboard (simple and only numpad section only) with avr(atmega8)
and connect to computer like other keyboards. please help me to do this.

It is very simple

There are lot of keypad examples floating around. Find one using Google which suits you better.

Then decide the communication mode RS232, usb, etc.

RS232 is more simple and easy to setup
