it really depends on how ur power supply works...
current mode or voltage mode control?
buck or cuk or?
several possible reasons:
if the ripple is at switching frequency, it is due to output cap, ESR, output voltage.
if it is at certain fraction of switching frequency (Fsw/Integer), it might be due to slope compensation and more slope compensation is needed
if large ripple occurs at much slower freq, check if it violate overvoltage protection of controller thus shutting down for long time and repeat itself
