What's the AT command for acquiring BTS location using sim300 gsm modem?

Hi friends im using sim300 gsm modem in a project.
For getting the local information(name of the place where the tower is located) wht command i should use?? pls help me

i never found such AT command in sim300,as far as i know Location of a BTS is the information send by operator as data,which is decoded and displayed in cellular phones,if u know the format of data u can recover the Location.

Regarding the above questions, the registered cell information can be retrieved with any GSM modem by +CREG command, but you need to know the base station station numbers.

There are several versions of SIM300. The one which I am using is SIM300CZ. If you could give me exact detail, I can assist you finding correc pinout. I can also give you AT command PDF. but you can try SIM300ATCommand.pdf which has all the necessary AT commands.

i use AT+CSCB=0,"50","1"

to get the BTS location..!!

Please take into consideration that +CBM messages are enabled. This can be changed by AT+CNMI..

Refer to AT command set manual for more information!!

can u please suggest me how can I get location information?

This is actually the intended location information, but the operators prefer to show adds to promote the advertisers.

For SIMCOM modules you can contact directly.They will tell you the distributor name if the quantity is less otherwise they will directly send.
Avnet is one of the distributor for SIMCOM modules.

Hey friend you have used exact command

that is AT+CENG=2

this AT command will show you the following format
+CENG:0,"0069,35,0,404,72,44,dd7d,06,05"

in the above format 0069 is the ARFCN frequency which your mobile handset is servicing
404 is your Country code
dd7d is your CELL ID and you will have to convert this cell ID into decimal format

i have converted for you

your mobile phone CELL ID is dd7d=56701

in that your operator SITE ID is 5670 and 1st sector is servicing to your cell phone.

you need a LAC(location area code) to find the cell ID based tracking
you will have to extract the CELL ID from the above string
