how about a job about fpga prototyping verification?

hi all,i am a student now,and i have no experience about work . in our lab ,we design a soc using a license arm core, my responsibility is to verify the RTL codes which have been simulated by front_end students .after my graduation,i think i will get a job about this. what do you think of the job about this ? can you give me some advice? i am not in US.
