Why need to used a very small channel lenght and channel width when designing MOSFET?

Why need to used a very small channel lenght and channel width when designing op-amp?

you mean mosfet
small channel is used to decrease the resistance of the channel
you know RD is very important when using a mosfet transistor

not always just for digital cell design you want to have the fastest ones, but for analog using the shortest channel lenght could be a trouble, just follow the eight commands for layout ....

because of unwated regions of operation, and for your current equations to be applicable.
