I need to charge Nimh battery with 100ma constant current.

For that i intend to designa buck converter to deliver this current.
and the current regulation is achieved by sensing the charging current of battery and modulating the pulse width.

My control circuit is to be designed around 555 timer IC.
Am i correct with my concepts.

If not then how can i achieve this.

Re: nimh charging

There are many way to do this.
I my opinion, at only 100mA you can solve it in a classical way.
And what about a schematics for ?
