Hello Everyone;
I want to know methods of designing a power supply circuit for an RF power amplifier. Please explain about topics and methods that must be considered.
Also in which book we can study this subject?

The PA power supply design (approach and topology) depends by the Output Power, Power Consumption and Supply Voltage of the PA, depends by the power class of the PA, and sometimes depends by the required PA efficiency at different supply voltages.

i think , the Power supply must be able to provide the required currnent

and , should have good isolation , to isoate any noise from PA

khouly

Hi,
Could you explain what you need in your power supply circuit? for example DO you want a thermal tracking circuit to keep the bias point of the PA? DC-DC converter?
