Hihi,

Are there any difference in using chip inductors and power coil inductors on Buck DC/DC converter?

If your switching frequency is higher (i.e. around 1GHz), the inductor may be made in the IC.
 

if you have an unusually high switching frequency and hardly any load current, then perhaps a bead inductor would do.

typical buck regulators utilize inductors that can handle the current and won't saturate.

if this is just a general question, then you are only going to get a general answer. do you have a more specific question?
