Does Hspice work with window's VISTA?

I cant use the Hspice 2007.03 with windows Vista!
what can I do? any one have the same problem?

vista hspice

Try to install them using the XP compatibility mode. I had problems with many other tools (Orcad, Protel etc) not compatible with VISTA, and after install them with the specific mode they now operate properly.

I installed this on WINXP mode ....
Hspiceu Z worked....but the Avanwaves didnt.....

has it another solution?

hspice installation on vista

hspice 2007.09 does, it appears.

Synopsys does not (yet) explicitly supports Vista, see

hspice installation vista

I guess some other programs can draw the hspice simulation rusults ! is it possible?

vista awaves

Try this: open up the HSPICE_version/BIN folder, right-click on hspui.exe and choose Properties. In the Compatibility tab, under Privilege Level, click the "Run this program as an administrator" check box.

Repeat the process for awaves.exe.

After I did this, it worked for me. (Of course, I have to say "Allow" to the "An unidentified program wants to access your computer" security message whenever I start up hspui.exe.)

synopsis hspice vista issues

hello all
i do something to install hspice under vista and it worked
1st- install Hspice on vista
2nd- Change the environmetal variables
3rd- install hspice on another PC worked under XP environment
4th- copy the bin directory from XP machine and Paste it in Vista
5th- it work

install hspice 2007 in win vista

It seems that this issue is related to the new UAC feature of Vista.

hello everyone...i also need help!!
i just install hspice ver:A-2008.03
i install that on laptop with vista os ..the hspui work but the avanwaves not..
i dont know how to make it work!!

The method that hesham_gaber described works also for Windows 7 :-D. Tried that with hspice 2007.03 . No need for compatibilty mode. Just copy the bin folder from another computer with windows XP and paste it on the Windows 7 one. Also, create the required user variables.
